Dr. Brown has a varied and extensive background within clinical neuropsychology. This includes both pediatric and adult neuropsychology experience during his internship and fellowship. His clinical experience has included lifespan services through Easter Seals, learning disorder, AD/HD, and career focused assessments for young adults at Landmark College and for other universities, and private practice evaluations covering the lifespan.

At the present time, Dr. Brown is an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology where he sees patients with epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, cancer, various cognitive complaints, and retired NFL players as part of the Concussion Settlement Program. He originally began his work at Yale in 2006 with collaborative grants studying epilepsy and seeing pediatric patients on a part time basis within the Neurosurgery Department while he had a practice in New Hampshire. He continued his part time association with Yale until 2012, when he took a full-time position in the Department of Neurology.

His research interests also reflect his diverse experience and includes publications and presentations within the areas of sleep disorders, learning disorders, AD/HD, epilepsy, memory disorders, and multiple sclerosis. At present, he is focused on improving ways to assess cognitive inefficiency, particularly among MS, oncology, and mild TBI patients; and visual memory changes associated with epilepsy surgery.

In addition to his paid activities, he volunteers his time on several boards within relevant professional associations (AACN & AACNF), reviews board certification application written samples, and has written grants to improve diversity within the field of neuropsychology.
